Character sheet FAQ

What is the character sheet in Path of Exile 2?
The character sheet is the panel you open on your character (default C) that lists every defensive and resource stat your build currently has — your Life, Mana, Energy Shield and Spirit, your Armour, Evasion, Deflection and Block, your resistances and ailment protection, and how everything is recovered. This page reproduces that panel, grouped the same way the game groups it, so you can look up exactly what each number is.
What is Spirit on the character sheet?
Spirit is Path of Exile 2's reservation budget. Persistent skills — auras, heralds, and other buffs you keep running — reserve a share of your Spirit rather than your mana, so your Spirit total is what caps how many of them you can sustain at once. It is a Path of Exile 2 mechanic with no equivalent in the first game.
What is Deflection in Path of Exile 2?
Deflection is a defensive stat, added in the 0.3 update, that is separate from Block and Evasion. When a hit is Deflected it currently has its damage reduced by 40%, and unlike Block it can trigger against a wide range of attacks and spells. The character sheet shows your Deflection rating alongside the estimated chance to deflect and the damage it prevents.
What is Runic Ward?
Runic Ward is a defensive layer added in the 0.5 update and unlocked through the Verisium Runeforging system. On the character sheet it appears as a pool with a maximum value and a recovery-per-second figure, sitting alongside Life and Energy Shield as another buffer your build can invest in.
Why does the Armour panel list lines about elemental damage?
The Armour panel breaks out separate 'Armour applying to Elemental Damage' lines — including per-element Fire, Cold and Lightning entries — because Path of Exile 2 lets specific modifiers extend your Armour so it also mitigates elemental hits, not only physical ones. The panel shows the estimated reduction each of those gives so you can see the effect of those modifiers, on top of the standard physical damage reduction.
