Spirit FAQ
How much Spirit can you get in Path of Exile 2?
The campaign grants 100 permanent Spirit (+30 in Act 1, +30 in Act 3, +40 in the Interlude) and an Expedition logbook reward adds another +10 in the endgame. On top of that, every sceptre grants 100 base Spirit — multiplied by any % increased Spirit rolled on it — body armour and amulets roll flat + Spirit prefixes (up to +57–61 at the top tier), a few bases carry Spirit implicits, and several unique items grant large amounts. Stack those and dedicated setups pass 400+ Spirit.
Which quests give permanent Spirit?
Three campaign encounters: slay The King in the Mist in Freythorn (Act 1, +30), slay Ignagduk, the Bog Witch in The Azak Bog (Act 3, +30), and slay Lythara, the Wayward Spear in Kriar Village (Interlude, +40). In the endgame, Uhtred's Boon from an Expedition logbook grants a further +10.
Do support gems increase Spirit reservation?
A support gem's cost multiplier raises a skill's mana cost, not its Spirit reservation — supporting a herald with a 120% cost multiplier support leaves its reservation at 30. What does add Spirit is the family of supports that carry their own flat reservation (Clarity, Vitality, Precision, Herbalism and the other buff-granting supports) — socket one and its listed Spirit is reserved on top of the skill's own. Those supports are all in the picker on this page.
How does Spirit reservation efficiency work?
Reservation efficiency divides a skill's reservation: reserved = base × 100 ÷ (100 + efficiency). A 30 Spirit herald with +50% Spirit reservation efficiency reserves 20 instead. Efficiency rolls on gear (Abyssal 'of Amanamu' suffixes), passives and several uniques.
How do minion Spirit reservations work?
Persistent minions reserve Spirit per minion, and the per-minion cost falls as the gem levels — a Skeletal Warrior costs 60 Spirit each at gem level 1 but far less at high levels. Skeletal Warriors are also special: the first 2 you summon reserve no Spirit at all. Spectres and companions set their own Spirit cost per monster, shown on the monster's card in game.
