Does Path of Exile 2 have achievements?

Yes — Path of Exile 2 defines a full list of achievements in its game data, covering leveling milestones, campaign completion, ascending, defeating bosses, endgame progression and crafting. The game is in early access, so platform achievements (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox) aren't fully wired up yet, but the goals themselves are defined in the current build and the seasonal Runes of Aldur challenges already grant cosmetic rewards.

What's the difference between Softcore and Hardcore achievements?

The leveling achievements come in two versions. The Softcore-only ones (Leader, Hero, Saviour, Legend) are earned reaching level 70, 80, 90 and 100 on a standard character, while the Hardcore-only ones (Ruthless, Restless, Relentless, Deathless) require the same levels on a Hardcore character, where death is permanent.

What does 'Defeat all Unique monsters in Act 1' require?

It's a checklist achievement — you have to defeat every named boss in the act. Act 1 lists fourteen, from the Bloated Miller and Beira of the Rotten Pack through to Count Geonor. Each boss is listed on the achievement's card and links to its own guide so you can see where to find it.
